Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you make a decision.

If your question is not here, call or text Luis. He would rather answer it than have you guess.

What is the free fee check?

You tell Luis what you paid in processing fees last month, and your card sales if you have them. Within 24 to 48 hours he tells you personally whether that is fair, and if it is not, roughly where the money is going. There is no obligation to switch.

What information should I provide?

Your name, a phone number or email, and last month's total processing fees. Total card sales for the same month helps, because it lets Luis work out your effective rate. Anything else he needs, he will ask.

Do I need to send my processing statement?

No. Nothing is uploaded to this website. Two totals are enough to start. If a closer look is worthwhile, Luis will tell you what he would need and why.

How quickly will Luis get back to me?

Within 24 to 48 hours, personally.

What happens after I submit a form?

It is emailed straight to Luis, who replies personally by phone, text, or email, whichever you left.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Luis speaks Spanish, and the main pages of this site are available in Spanish.

Do you provide point-of-sale hardware and software?

Yes. As an Independent Sales Organization, Luis offers a wide range of POS software and hardware along with processing, and he will recommend what fits how your business runs.

How do you choose a system?

Luis considers where customers pay, what your staff need, reporting, integrations, and support, then recommends what fits the way you operate.

What area do you serve?

Austin and Central Texas.

What is Luis Your Money Man?

An Independent Sales Organization (ISO) owned by Luis Castillo, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving businesses across Austin and Central Texas.

How does Luis get paid?

Like most ISOs, from the processing on the accounts he sets up. There is a full explanation on the How Luis Gets Paid page, and you can ask him directly how he would be paid on your account.

Will I have to sign a long-term contract?

Contract terms depend on the solution under consideration. Ask Luis to explain the term, renewal language, cancellation provisions, and any equipment obligations before you make a decision.

Will I own or lease the equipment?

Equipment arrangements vary by solution. Luis will explain whether the proposed equipment is purchased, placed, or rented, along with the relevant terms. His general advice is to buy equipment rather than lease it.

How long does setup take?

Typically one to three business days from a completed application. The application is sent securely by email. The mobile app runs on Android; iPhone support takes roughly an additional thirty days.

Can a new system work with my current software?

Compatibility depends on the software and tools you use. Share them before choosing a system.

What support is available after setup?

Luis remains your direct point of contact. Support for specific products varies by provider, and he will explain the support path before you decide.

What is the difference between cash discount, dual pricing, and surcharging?

Cash discount and dual pricing distinguish cash and card prices. Surcharging adds a charge to eligible credit card transactions and has specific requirements, including that it generally cannot apply to debit cards.

Is same-day funding guaranteed?

No. Timing depends on eligibility, approval, cutoff times, bank support, transaction review, and applicable terms.

Can I accept payments by phone or bill customers automatically?

Yes. Virtual terminals support authorized remote payments, while recurring billing tools schedule approved repeat charges.

Can I take contactless payments away from a countertop?

Yes, with compatible portable readers or wireless terminals.

What happens if my payment equipment stops working?

The response depends on the equipment and agreement. Confirm troubleshooting contacts, coverage, timing, and backup options before installation.

What should I never send through the website?

Passwords, full card numbers, bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, or statement files. The forms never ask for any of them.
